[smartmontools-support] Smartmontools exception

Hi there all,
we got  the following error, and as requested, we report it:

[root at ltaopeosts06 ~]# smartctl -a /dev/sdat -q errorsonly
  Pending defect count:Smartctl: Exception: json.cpp(39): Assertion failed: 'a' <= c && c <= 'z'
Please inform smartmontools-support at listi.jpberlin.de, including output of smartctl -V.

The error comes out after an error detection:
