[smartmontools-support] Questions about smartctl output and disk db / how to debug

Hello everyone,

I am looking for help to understand the following issue better around
smartctl output:

I am talking about this device:
smartctl -P showall MTFDDAK1T9TDN

170 Reserved_Block_Pct      0x0033   100   100   010    Pre-fail
Always       -       0

^^ if i interpret that correctly there are 0% reserved blocks left on
the device, and that is why smartctl exits with exit code 4

Though the same device shows:
180 Unused_Rsvd_Blk_Cnt_Tot 0x0033   000   000   000    Pre-fail
Always       -       34892

^^ so according to this output we have alot unused reserved blocks left.

Now my question is, is this a firmware bug? Is it a smart disk database issue?
I have checked around 20 disks of the same "type" showing the same behaviour.

I would love to understand the issues better and how to debug them, so
i can eventually provide some more useful contributions.
