We are pleased to announce the ABC Audience Research Toolkit for Community Radio authored by our Kenyan partners. The publication was part of a capacity building project called 'Know Your Audience - Improve Your Radio Rating', a project funded by the Dutch foundation Stem van Afrika (SvA).


Designed by and for African community broadcasters, it provides guidance, tools, and methodologies to help stations better understand their audiences, strengthen engagement, and demonstrate their impact.



This toolkit provides a practical ABC process - Assess, Build, Convert - to help community radio teams plan, run, and use audience research to improve their broadcast.


It showcases cost-effective solutions undertaken by four radio stations in Uganda and Kenya - EK FM 88.3 (Mbita, Kenya), Radio Mchungaji (Samburu, Kenya), Radio Pacis (West Nile, Uganda), and Radio Etoil A Karamoja (Kotido, Uganda).
