Ich arbeite seit dem 28. Februar 2013 als CIM Integrierte Fachkraft beim
Rwanda (Kwetu) Filminstitute in Kigali, Rwanda als Advisor International
Cooperation, Film and TV Development und als Koordinator des Rwanda Media
Projects, das vor allem, aber nicht nur, ein filmwirtschaftlich
orientiertes Ausbildungsprojekt ist.

Zur Erläuterung für die FOME Mitglieder hier die Beschreibung des Projektes
in Englisch. Vielleicht besteht ja Interesse von anderen Projekten, die
sich mit Film und Fernsehen beschäftigen,  zu kooperieren.

Rwanda Media Project is a joint project of Rwanda (Kwetu) Film Institute
and the German Development Cooperation which is financed by the German
Federal Ministry of Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ).

Partners: Rwanda (Kwetu) Film Institute, BMZ, Deutsche Welle Akademie (DWA)
and European Film Centre Babelsberg (EFB), in close cooperation with
Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)/Center for
International Migration and Development (CIM).

General target is to contribute to the development of Rwanda as a media hub
within east and central Africa.

Rwanda Media Project intends to develop and empower the country’s
developing Media Industry to make film and TV business an important future
oriented economic sector in Rwanda.
The project focuses on technical vocational and educational training  of
young media professionals and offers film classes and a 2 years training
for the professional profile of "Media Designer" which is based on German
experience - with in-company-training combined with off-the-job training at
KWETU Film production unit and internships in Germany.

The project also includes support to set up and structure a national Media
Think Tank at KWETU FILM INSTITUTE for governmental and private
organizations, institutions and investors to offer international knowledge
and expertise in the most important fields of Film and Media. The Think
Tank organises professional research as well as national and international
conferences and workshops.
