Just to be sure, you didn't forget: are you sure the gme you are trying
to use is "FRENCH" (tttool set-language)?
Because sometimes I had the impression (I didn't do extensive tests)
that a gme without language information (which should work on any pen)
did not work on special pens - so I added the pen's language.
Just to be clear: if your pen is French, every gme must have 'FRENCH' as
the language (or none at all) - so if you want to try an Italian or
German gme, you must use tttool set-language FRENCH.
I have a second-generation pen with French firmware - I could test it
for you over the weekend. And I have a third-generation pen with a lot
of French books (but with German firmware - because there is no French
firmware).
Did you try unpacking and packing the gme with tttool.

Pour être sûr, vous n'avez pas oublié: êtes-vous sûr que le gme que vous
essayez d'utiliser est "FRENCH" (tttool set-language) ?
Parce qu parfois j'ai eu l'impression (je n'ai pas fait de tests
approfondis) qu'un gme sans information de langue (qui devrait
fonctionner sur n'importe quel stylo) ne fonctionnait pas sur certains
stylos - alors j'ai ajouté la langue du stylo.
Pour être clair : si votre stylo est en français, chaque gme doit avoir
'FRENCH' comme langue (ou aucune) - donc si vous voulez essayer un gme
italien ou allemand, vous devez utiliser tttool set-language FRENCH.
J'ai un stylo de deuxième génération avec un firmware français - je
pourrais le tester pour vous ce week-end. Et j'ai un stylo de troisième
génération avec beaucoup de livres en français (mais avec un firmware
allemand - parce qu'il n'y a pas de firmware français).
Avez-vous essayé de décompacter et de compacter le gme avec tttool.
