[Tiptoi] French pens rejecting custom GME - German vs French hardware difference?

Well, they have different firmware files, AFAIR. So maybe they are
more strict in checking stuff. Maybe they enforce a certain structure
or something which the French books fulfill but not the (older) German
ones.
You could try to flash a German firmware and see if that changes the situation.
