Hello smartmons,

please tell me ...

	>smartctl.exe --scan
gives
	:
	/dev/sdf -d sat # /dev/sdf [SAT], ATA device
	:
	/dev/sdi -d scsi # /dev/sdi, SCSI device
	:

From my 2,5" HD, external, connected via Adapter to USB 3 PCIe-card , I get

	smartctl -i /dev/sdf -d sat

This is the information I expected.

From another 2,5" HD, external, connected via Adapter (same model to USB-2
port , I get

	smartctl -i /dev/sdi -d scsi

=== START OF INFORMATION SECTION ===

SMART support is: Available - device has SMART capability.
	SMART support is: Enabled
Temperature Warning: Disabled or Not Supported

This is data, I didn't expect ...
Vendor: ASMT, Product: 2115 - is the adapter.
User Capacity: 1.000.204.886.016 bytes [1,00 TB] - is the disk
	Device type: disk ...

How can I manage to get
	Model Family
	Device Model
	Serial Number
from the disk behind the adapter ?

Thx for your attention and thx for your time.
lll
