This is as expected because attributes 197/198 report the number of 
pending uncorrectable sectors.

Please retry the short test (smartctl -t short). It usually stops 
immediately and reports the first pending LBA. If not, try a long test.

smartctl 7.0 or later include '-l defects' in the '-x' option.
