Hello list!

I have here an USB Stick "Transcend JetFlash 910",
which appears to be based on the SiliconMotion 3282 controller.
This stick appears to have a recent SSD controller that includes
the USB interface, so this is a fast and tightly integrated USB stick.
The Transcend JetFlash 920 seems to use the same, but with a cheaper case?

Currently smartctl does not support this USB bridge:

>smartctl 7.2 2020-12-30 r5155 [x86_64-linux-5.10.17]

>Please specify device type with the -d option.

...and no choice of -d xyz works?

However on Amazon a CrystalDiskInfo user on Win posted a screenshot
where some SMART attributes are readable: 05 Reallocated Sector Count
and 0C Power Cycles, and 5 additional vendor specific ones:

Are there plans to support this controller in Smartmontools?
It would be VERY useful to have a wearout indicator with these
recent generation of SSD-on-USB sticks....

Thank You!
