[smartmontools-support] Extended test doesn't catch CurrentPendingSector and OfflineUncorrectableSector errors

Hello,

On my Ubuntu 20.04 system, smartd runs a periodic background check.
Recently, I am receiving CurrentPendingSector and
OfflineUncorrectableSector errors emails from smart tests every day.
However, when I run SMART extended test (smartctl -t long), it sometimes
returns "read failure" at a particular LBA. Are these two (smart vs
smartctl self-test errors) errors related?
