<div dir="ltr"><div><br></div>Hello,<div><br></div><div>On my Ubuntu 20.04 system, smartd runs a periodic background check. Recently, I am receiving CurrentPendingSector and OfflineUncorrectableSector errors emails from smart tests every day. However, when I run SMART extended test (smartctl -t long), it sometimes returns "read failure" at a particular LBA. Are these two (smart vs smartctl self-test errors) errors related?<br clear="all"><div><br></div>-- <br><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><span><div><div dir="ltr"><p>Thanks & Regards,</p>
