[smartmontools-support] Getting drive does not support Self-Tests but smartctl -a reports it is supported and self short test works fine

Hello,

I have 2 drives, WDC WD80EMAZ-00WJTA0, WDC WD100EMAZ-00WJTA0 that smartd
reports *not *supporting self tests. When I use gsmartcontrol and run self
tests on the drives, they run just fine (also tried with smartctl -t short
/dev/sdd and it was also fine). I updated to latest drivedb using
update-smart-drivedb (since before they weren't in my drivedb.h).
Temperature also is not monitored by smartd, even though smartctl reports
the temperature just fine.

Any ideas why smartd is having issues?

Below I attached the following in 4 blocks:

1) the smartd output for both drives
2) smartd version
3) smartctl -a output for each drive
4) smartctl -t short and smartctl -l selftest results for each drive
