Hi,

I'm trying to determine if smartctl assumes an ATTRIBUTE NAME when it is ran for a Micron SSD but also in general whn ran from a CentOS VM I use for working in a data centre.

>From what I can tell for some drives they give smartctl the ATTRIBUTE NAME but smartctl can't always interpret it.
Other times I would guess that smartctl assumes the ATTRIBUTE NAME if that is not given by the SSD.

Below are some examples(note all drives are End Of Life and were replaced):

Device Model: Micron_M500_2.5"_7mm_480GB
202 Unknown_SSD_Attribute 0x0031 001 001 000 Pre-fail Offline - 99

Device Model: Micron_M500_2.5"_7mm_480GB
202 Unknown_SSD_Attribute 0x0031 001 001 000 Pre-fail Offline - 99

Device Model: Micron_M500DC_2.5"_7mm_480GB
202 Data_Address_Mark_Errs 0x0018 100 100 001 Old_age Offline - 0

Any input would be appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Sean McCormack
