[this is a resend as the original was delayed and maybe deleted as I was late to confirm my membership]
I see unusual errors in the smartctl report from the 12TB disk ST12000NM0007.
This is a smartmontools build from the downloaded tar file:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/smartmontools/files/smartmontools/7.0/smartmontools-7.0.tar.gz/download
Package built with
./configure --sbindir=/home/eyal/smartmontools/sbin \
--sysconfdir=/home/eyal/smartmontools/etc \
--mandir=/home/eyal/smartmontools/share/man \
--docdir=/home/eyal/smartmontools/share/doc/smartmontools \
--with-initscriptdir=/home/eyal/smartmontools/etc/rc.d
and run as
sudo smartmontools/sbin/smartctl -x /dev/sdc|less
With the result below - note the last two lines.
Regards
smartctl 7.0 2018-12-30 r4883 [x86_64-linux-5.0.5-100.fc28.x86_64] (local build)
