This disk was included by Seagate for free, without paperwork, along
with another drive that was being returned for warranty repair.

Could it be some type of pre-release? Or sample?

I think it may have been connected via USB, but not since I've had it.
I believe my friend may have connected it via USB, but she would have
no idea how to identify the USB ID.

Okay, thanks. Would you help me identify some of the error messages in
the output and help me understand what they mean and if the disk has
problems? I've produced a new log and uploaded it here:

https://pastebin.com/RkUTkYeh

There are a few errors that I don't understand, and it still doesn't
appear to display the smartctl long tests I've performed.

Thanks,
Alex
