Na, versuche dich doch erstmal direkt mit dem Mysql-User so wie es in der
sasl-auth steht anzumelden?

Was passiert denn dann?

Hallo,

ich habe auf einmal das Problem, dass sich user nicht mehr bei Postfix/Smtp
anmelden können. Die Anmeldung läuft via (Pam) mySQL, hat aber (aus
historischen Gründen) ein Fallback auf die passwd. Die user die aber nur in
der DB und nicht in passwd stehen, können sich nun nicht mehr anmelden
(logisch).

In mail.log steht "... sasl... PLAIN ... login failed" bzw. "... LOGIN..."
(oder so ähnlich. aben dass die Authentifizierung via LOGIN/PLAIN
fehlgeschlagen ist).

In Auth.log steht sinngemäß, dass der (In pam eingetragene) sql-user keinen
Zugriff auf die DB hat => wie kann das auf einmal sein? Irgendein Update das
sich nicht verträgt (z.B. gabs mal in eigenen Programmen ein Problem mit
password() vs. old_password() )?

Habe Debian 3.x (hihi, hab vergessen obs 3.0 oder 3.1 war - ist mittlerweile
aber ohnehin mix aus stable, testing etc).
Welche Infos/Config/Logs benötit ihr? Wo kann ich was debugen/testen?

Ist leider dringen ;-)
