I recommend 2.3.3, which was the only version of amavisd-new
to be fully tested with SA 3.1.

The amavisd-new-2.3.0 was the first version to be tested
with what was then the SA 3.1 CVS trunk, and brings some
minor tweaks for interoperability.

If you do not use chroot, it might even work with older versions
of amavisd-new (perhaps suboptimally - may be recompiling some
modules on every child process creation), but I never tried it.

If chroot-ed, it almost certainly won't work, at least not
with all SA features.
