Das würde bedeuten, obwohl der POP3-Server nix von SASL anzeigt, versucht 
fetchmail trotzdem CRAM-MD5? Hmm, hast Du ihm das irgendwie mitgegeben?

Stell das mal ab, ist glaube ich "auth password" in der fetchmailrc. Wobei das 
wirklich "password" heisst und nicht Dein Passwort.

Da der POP3-Server selber vorher angezeigt hat, dass er "USER" kann, vermute 
ich mal das sind nachwirkungen von dem "AUTH" Versuch.

1 Mail und die scheint alt zu sein. Starte fetchmail mit -a um die abzuholen.
