/etc/postfix/main.cf

relayhost = [smtp.1und1.com]

so steht es z.b. bei mir. du musst natürlich deinen Mailprovider 
eintragen.

dann noch zur authentifizierung
smtp_sasl_auth_enable = yes
smtp_sasl_security_options = noanonymous
smtp_sasl_password_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/secret_passwords

und in sie secret_passwords schreibst du
smtp.1und1.com     m12345678-1:geheim

also
provider login:password
