Davon gehe ich auch aus.

Ja, und ich habe in der manpage keinen Hinweis darauf gefunden, dass man ihm
das irgendwie angeben kann. Kann man im Postfix so eine Art "rewrite" machen
und ihm sagen, dass alles von "user at gateway.domain.de" auf "user at doain.de"
umgemappt werden soll?
