Liebe Lebenslaute-AktivistInnen und weitere Lebenslaute-Interessierte.
Der Fruehling ist da! Alles singt. Und auch unserer politmusikalisches
Netzwerk zieht es wieder hinaus ins Offene, um lebenslaut gegen
Bedrohungen aufzumucken.

Ergebnisse des Traditions-Januartermins: Am Wochenende nach Neujahr
trafen sich die Aktivsten und Aktionsfreudigsten von uns zuletzt in
groesserer Runde (ca. 20) und das wieder im thueringischen
Waltershausen.

Das Treffen begann mit einer abschliessenden Rueckschau auf die
letztjaehrige Sommeraktion ,Schlussakkord dem Drohnenmord' am
Stuttgarter US-AfriCom. Im ueblichen Mix aus Lob und Selbstkritik war
weiterhin viel Begeisterung zu spueren ueber die groesstenteils sehr
gelungene Aktion und ihr Lebenslaute-rekordverdaechtiges Echo in der
Baden-Wuerttemberger Öffentlichkeit. Das Meiste ist inzwischen

[1], die regionalen Kriegs- und Militaergegner_innen um das Buendnis
,Africom und Eucom schliessen', haben unsere Aktion gut eingebettet und
sind weiterhin rege. Nach dem Wirbel um Lebenslautes Blockade-Aktion
faellt es sicher Einigen im Grossraum Stuttgart schwerer, den
verbrecherischen Drohnenmord durch US-Militaers von dort weiterhin
tatenlos zu tolerieren.

Uebrigens: 1986 gegruendet gibt es LEBENSLAUTE seit der Africom-Aktion
nun schon 30 Jahre lang: Zu diesem Anlass wollen wir eine
Doku-Broschuere ,30 Jahre Lebenslaute' mit Fotos und kurzen Texten
herausbringen. Ueber tausend Menschen haben die Aktionen vorbereitet und
mitgemacht. Die ersten zwei Jahre 1986/1987 und die medienreichen
letzten Jahre sind gut dokumentiert, dazwischen bis etwa 2007 fehlt noch
einiges Material. Warst du also in diesen zwanzig Jahren dabei und hast
noch einige Fotos oder Aehnliches aufgehoben oder hast gute Bekannte
damit? Dann wende dich bitte an die Dokumentationsgruppe um Gerd
(GerdBuentzly at Arcor.de), ob das Material gluecklich Luecken fuellen
kann.

Hauptbeschaeftigung unseres Neujahrstreffs ist immer die Auswahl der
Jahres-Sommeraktion: Fast ein dutzend Vorschlaege war diesmal dafuer
eingegangen. U.a. wurden drei Vorschlaege genauer ueberlegt, die bisher
so noch nie Lebenslaute-Jahresaktionsthemen waren:
 :: Kritik der Geheimdienste um BND/Bundesnachrichtendienst und
Verfassungsschutz,
 :: Kritik des Gefaengnissystems (anlaesslich der Initiative zu einem
,Anti-Knast'-Camp 2017) und
 :: das teils unheilvolle Wirken von Agrar-(Welt)Konzernen (vgl. dazu
etwa den ,Konzernatlas 2017' ueber die Agrar- und
Lebensmittelindustrie).
Daneben diskutierten wir - in dieser besonders kriegerischen Zeit der
Welt - wieder antimilitaristisch und friedenspolitisch verschiedene
Aktionsorte und -ansaetze pazifistischen Widerstands:
 :: Gefechtsuebungen des Truppenuebungsplatzes Altmark (u.a.

 :: US-Stuetzpunkt ,Air Base Ramstein' in der Pfalz und das dortige
Widerstandsspektrum
 :: und neben anderen als dann ausgewaehlter Aktionsort 2017
,Fliegerhorst Schleswig-Jagel'.
Wer auf unsere Homepage geschaut hat oder gut vernetzt ist, kann das
schon seit Anfang Januar wissen. Ab jetzt wollen wir das Folgende mit
deiner Hilfe allen Kriegsgegner_innen nahe legen.

- Konzertaktion am Fliegerhorst Schleswig-Jagel

Auf diesem Bundeswehr-Fliegerhorst Jagel
(http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jagel [3]) im Kreis Schleswig-Flensburg
ist das Luftwaffengeschwader 51 stationiert. Seine Hauptaufgabe ist das
Ausspaehen und die Erfassung von Zielkoordinaten. Die
Spionage-SoldatInnen sind nach Afghanistan und Irak nun in Syrien und
Mali im Krieg. Die Bundeswehr plant den Fliegerhorst zum zentralen
Ausbildungszentrum der Luftwaffe zu entwickeln. Ab 2019 soll das
Geschwader um Kampfdrohnen und mehr erweitert werden.
Wir dagegen fordern unter anderem: keine weiteren Syrien-Einsaetze von
deutschen Tornados, keine Drohnen fuer die Bundeswehr und keine weitere
Ausbildung zum Toeten, sondern Schliessung des Fliegerhorsts
Schleswig/Jagel.

Dear LEBENSLAUTE ACTIVISTS AND SUPPORTERS,
Spring has sprung and the whole world is singing. And even our
political-musical network is beginning to buzz, flying out into the
Springtime to raise our voices against threats to life and wellbeing.

RESULTS OF OUR ANNUAL JANUARY GET-TOGETHER: About twenty of us met on
the first weekend in January, as we traditionally do, to look back upon
the past year and to make plans for the new one.

Our meeting began with a final evaluation of our action at the US
Africom headquarters in Stuttgart last summer. As usual there was a
solid mixture of praise and criticism, but we were all still enjoying
the feelings of enthusiasm that were generated by our successful action
there and the very positive response of the general public, and
especially by the unusually widespread media coverage. Most of these

[4]: Due to the successful regional anti-war and anti-militarist Groups
belonging to the Coalition ,Close Africom and Eucom' our action was well
embedded and connected to the politically active community in the
Stuttgart area. After the small whirlwind which Lebenslaute's Blockade
Action helped create, it is most probably no longer so easy for some
residents of the Greater Stuttgart area to tolerate the ongoing crimes
of drone killing being led by U.S. military personnel stationed there.

By the way: LEBENSLAUTE was founded in 1986, thirty years ago! To
commemorate this occasion we want to publish a DOCUMENTARY BOOKLET: ,30
YEARS OF LEBENSLAUTE' with photos and short texts of our many past
events. More than a thousand persons have been active during these
years. The first two years 1986/1987 are well documented and there is
ample material for the last few years, which resulted in continually
increasing media coverage, as well. But for the intervening years up to
around 2007 we still need more reports, reminiscences and photographs.
Were some of you LL-readers active during these years and have something
to submit to us? Or perhaps have friends who were? If so please contact
the Documentation group working with Gerd: GerdBuentzly at Arcor.de. You
may have something that we badly need!

The Main Topic of our annual New Year's Meeting is always the selection
of a new Concert Action for the coming summer. This time we had around a
dozen proposals, of which three were fairly specific and which covered
areas never before taken on as main events by our group:
 :: Criticism of the intelligence agencies Bundesnachrichtendienst BND
(foreign intelligence agency of Germany) and Verfassungsschutz (Federal
Office for the Protection of the Constitution),
 :: Criticism of the Prison System (on the occasion of the Anti-Jail
Camp 2017) and
 :: Criticism of the often calamitous harm caused by the Global Agrarian
and Food Industries.
But in addition to these newer areas there was major discussion about
our war-torn world and the many anti-militaristic and politically
oriented peace action possibilities and places for pacifist civil
disobedience and resistance:
 :: Military war ,games' at the military training area in the and named
Altmark (http://www.war-starts-here.camp [2] starting on July 31),
 :: The U.S. military Air Base Ramstein in the Rhineland-Palatinate
(Rheinland-Pfalz) with its assortment of protesting groups and
 :: The place which we eventually selected for our coming Summer Action
2017: the military air base complex at Jagel (close to the town
Schleswig) called ,Fliegerhorst Schleswig-Jagel'.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE ANNUAL POLITICAL-MUSICAL SOMMER ACTION EVENT in the
northern part of Schleswig-Holstein:
,From Bass To Soprano -- United Against the Madness of Weapons and War'
A Concert Action at the Military Air Base Fliegerhorst Schleswig-Jagel

This military complex in the county of Schleswig-Flensburg is the area
where the German Air Force Squadron 51 ist stationed (sorry, no article
in English, here some information in German:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jagel [5]). Its main task is the aerial
surveillance (spying), the registration and assessment of bombing
targets. Soldier-spies based there are no longer ,only' in conducting
war operations in Afghanistan and Irak, but more recently also in Syria
and Mali. The German Army/Air Force (Bundeswehr/Luftwaffe) is now
developing this military air base into its main training center for the
Air Force and in 2019 it will be enlarged to be the home base for the
new fleet of armed drones and for the education and training of all
German Tornado fighter plane and drone pilots.
Our main demands so far: No further German Tornado fighter plane
operations in or near Syria! No Drones for the German Army and Air
Force! No Education and Training for Killing here, but rather the
closing of this military air base, the closing of the Fliegerhorst
Schleswig/Jagel!
