Nobert,
Well if you are working with Helmut Scholz perhaps something will happen,
however Helmut promised me at the 2nd Congress in Prague something would
develop when Uli, Mike and I agreed not to run an individual member
candidate for the Executive Board at that Congress, and nothing ever did
happen.
I also wrote seeking observor status for the 'European Left Network' of
individual members in Britain and again nothing happened.
Martin has always been a great supporter, but never in a position to make
the Executive Board take notice.
I think Helmut and Martin are genuine and interested but the majority of the
Executive Board is not, but they don't want to say that openly, so they just
let us die on the vine.
If this effort doesn't work I will do something else. The Founding
Conference in Rome, which I attended, was eight years ago now its 2012!
That's long enough to wait
Happy New Year.
Best
Stephen

Dear Stephen,
You are completely right, I think we do not have a different validation
regarding the situation as well as the ongoing processes and the positions
of the different Parties. What do you not know, I'm working together with
Helmut Scholz within the Parliament in Brussels and Martin too after leaving
the EL office. I understand your concerns but nether the less I think what
we shall change is not to rely any more on parties - in favour or not that
is our problem - but to create our own political momentum, to get money for
meetings and to work etc. If they are not interested the should say that
publicly for every body how they are understanding internal democracy. At
the end there is an European regulation to be respected for getting the
european money they intending to have.
Kind regards
Norbert
