[Individual-members-EL] WG: Confirmation EL individualmembership

Dear Kjell, dear all,

so just an short information about that list. The list is a result of the first european left summer university in portugal in 2006. The individual members that have been there, decided to found a network of individual members. Runing short - the idea is to have in a time not too far a european party which can set something against the neoliberal policies that dominating at the moment the european politics. The national parties - including the left - focus to much on the national level. For the future a strong left european party is needed. At the moment the european left is just an umbrella organisation of national parties.
So as more individual members we are as more pressure that will have on the national member parties - so that can start pressure them to focus more at the european level.
The problems with our state inside the european party we discussed often - our rights in that party-party are at the moment very limited.

At the moment 62 people from 13 countries on the list - most of them individual members of the european left - few on the list also members in Die Linke (germany) or Rifondazione Comunista(italy).

  This is a mailing list for individual members of EL. When I reply (to all), to whom and how many are reading this? Who am I communicating to, and what is the topcs for discussion? I consider myself an individual member of EL, although Norway is not a member of the European Union. I am happy to be a member of a stong, international and influencial political force.  

   

  I too want to know how to pay the membership for this year.
