Dear Fome members,

Greetings!
Allow me to forward this call for a 3-year position in a radio network in South Sudan under the AGIAMONDO Civil Peace Service (CPS) Program.
Deadline: 16.08.2026

AGIAMONDO e. V. <https://www.agiamondo.de/en/about-us/> is the personnel service organization of the German Catholic community for international development cooperation. Through the Civil Peace Service (CPS)<https://www.agiamondo.de/en/what-we-offer/civil-peace-service/working-in-the-cps/>, AGIAMONDO offers professionals the opportunity to engage in meaningful service in partnership with local development actors. The Civil Peace Service (CPS) is a program for violence prevention and peacebuilding in crisis and conflict regions around the world. In South Sudan, CPS has supported civil society organizations for many years in developing non-violent approaches to conflict resolution, strengthening human rights, and assisting communities affected by trauma. The work of the CPS is founded on partnership, trust, and long-term commitment. Professionals contribute their expertise, learn from local experiences, and help strengthen structures that promote peaceful coexistence.

The Catholic Radio Network (CRN) is a church-based media network headquartered in Juba and affiliated with the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Sudan and South Sudan<https://ssscbc.org/>. The network's community radio stations broadcast in numerous local languages and reach people, particularly in rural areas, who often have limited access to other sources of information. The network is committed to independent journalism, transparent reporting, and the promotion of dialogue and peace. It views media work as an important contribution to social development.

Your duty station will be Juba, the capital of South Sudan. From there, you will undertake regular travel to partner radio stations throughout the country. The security situation remains challenging and may change rapidly. Travel is undertaken according to the prevailing situation and in close coordination with local partners. Juba offers basic infrastructure, secure housing options, shopping facilities, and medical services provided by private healthcare institutions. The climate is tropical, with distinct rainy and dry seasons. This position is not suitable for families with children.
