In focus: Independent media and media development organisations across the Eastern Partnership and Baltic States are navigating acute strain. Abrupt funding cuts, rigid grant structures, democratic backsliding, full-scale kinetic war, platform-driven disinformation, and AI are forcing media organisations to revise their funding strategies, business models, and approaches to audience engagement. How can trusted, independent journalism survive and remain relevant under these conditions?
The report authors will present key findings from their research, regional experts will provide additional perspectives, and there will be ample opportunity for discussion and questions.
