Europe are navigating uncertainty. This workshop will explore WHO IS
STILL INVESTING IN JOURNALISM AND MEDIA DEVELOPMENT, how to ADAPT
FUNDRAISING STRATEGIES, and what tools can help with FINANCIAL
SUSTAINABILITY.

 This 90-minute session, organized by Transitions and Journalismfund
Europe, will provide an OVERVIEW OF CURRENT FUNDERS, explore FUNDRAISING
TECHNIQUES, and discuss PRACTICAL TOOLS FOR REVENUE GENERATION AND
FINANCIAL FORECASTING. Whether you're looking for institutional support
or exploring new monetization approaches, this workshop will offer
valuable insights and practical guidance.

 ABOUT THE TRAINER:
 PETER ERDELYI is the FOUNDING DIRECTOR OF THE CENTER FOR SUSTAINABLE
MEDIA, a Think-and-Do Tank working to improve the financial
sustainability of independent newsrooms in CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE
AND BEYOND.

 He is a MEDIA EXECUTIVE FROM BUDAPEST, HUNGARY, WITH OVER 25 YEARS OF
EXPERIENCE in journalism and media management. He consults for the MEDIA
DEVELOPMENT INVESTMENT FUND and teaches DIGITAL MEDIA STRATEGY AT ELTE
UNIVERSITY IN BUDAPEST.

 As A FELLOW AT THE REUTERS INSTITUTE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD, Peter
researched DIGITAL REVENUE STRATEGIES in countries where the media
environment is under pressure. Over the past two decades, he has been
involved in launching and running various DIGITAL OUTLETS IN HUNGARY and
has served on the EXECUTIVE BOARD OF THE EUROPEAN DIGITAL MEDIA
OBSERVATORY AT THE EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE IN FLORENCE, ITALY.

 He holds a MASTER'S DEGREE FROM THE LONDON SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS.
