[FoME] Insight into Niger's Media Landscape Post-Coup

Hello Everybody,

In light of the recent events in Niger, where a coup d'état took place on
July 26, 2023, the country's situation hangs in the balance. The military
has ousted President Mohamed Bazoum from his office and issued stern
warnings against military interventions from foreign entities.

Amidst these turbulent times, an important question emerges: What role is
the media in Niger playing during this unconstitutional shift of power? How
are they navigating the precarious landscape to keep the population
informed, while ensuring their safety?

We are delighted to extend an invitation to you for a virtual roundtable
discussion with leading journalists in Niger.

This event, scheduled for Thursday, August 3, at 11 am GMT, is organized in
collaboration with the esteemed Maison de la presse Niger.
