The Office of the UN Secretary General and Verified are organising a meeting next Wednesday 28 April at 10.00 EST/15.00 BST/22.00 HKT entitled "How to prevent the pandemic becoming a media extinction event".  Further details and information on how to register are at this link.

Sheetal Vyas, the founding Executive Director of the International Fund for Public Interest Media will be speaking at this event and the event itself has been organised in collaboration with the team putting together the International Fund proposition.  The UN Secretary General will be sending a video message to the event. 

Please do attend this and pass on to relevant colleagues who you think might be interested.

Substantial progress continues to made in advancing the International Fund and Sheetal will provide some details of this at the event.  Also look out for her speaking at the UNESCO World Press Freedom Day conference on April 30.
