Invitation to discussion forum: "Compliance in Export Control of Dual-Use Items"

Dear Sir or Madam,

The European Union is currently undertaking a recast of Regulation (EC) No. 428/2009 setting up a Community regime for the control of exports, transfer, brokering and transit of dual-use items. One major aspect of the recast is the question how to address compliance requirements for exporters under the new Regulation. In this regard, we would like to invite you to a discussion forum regarding the practical aspects of compliance in dual-use export control as well as challenges for future regulation on:

Thursday, 12 October 2017 from 13:00 to 17:00 h at the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany to the EU, rue Jacques de Lalaing 8-14, 1040 Brussels.
The discussion forum will include two panels with experts of various backgrounds. Attached please find a detailed program. This is an open invitation which can be forwarded; participation in the discussion forum is free.
