wir laden Sie herzlich zu unserer Abendveranstaltung

Information. Innovation. Revolution – Afrika und Deutschland im Spiegel der Medien

am 10. September in Hamburg ein.

Die Möglichkeiten öffentliche Kommunikation und Meinungsbildung mitzugestalten sind heute größer denn je. Durch Weblogs, Wikipedia, Bürgerjournalismus, Wir-Medien etc. verschwimmen die Grenzen von Produktion, Vertrieb und Rezeption. Wir laden Akteure aus Deutschland und afrikanischen Ländern ein, die Potentiale für gesellschaftliches Engagement und interkulturellen Austausch in den Medien zu diskutieren.
Welche Chancen bieten neue und innovative Medienformate für einen intensiveren Austausch mit den Ländern Afrikas und eine differenziertere Meinungsbildung?

Erfolgreiche Blogger_innen und Bürgerjournalist_innen aus Deutschland, Nigeria, Ghana und Uganda stellen ihre Arbeit vor. Mit ihnen diskutieren wir Formate und Ideen für partnerschaftliches Engagement und mediale Zusammenarbeit.
Verschiedene Aktionen laden die Teilnehmer_innen zur Vernetzung ein und bieten Möglichkeiten zur gemeinsamen Projektentwicklung. Bei Musik und Getränken lassen wir den Abend ausklingen.

Die Veranstaltung ist Teil des Programms COMENGA der Stiftung Partnerschaft mit Afrika e.V. und findet im Rahmen der Afrika-Initiative des Bundesministeriums für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) statt. COMENGA fördert und verknüpft zivilgesellschaftliches Engagement in Deutschland und afrikanischen Ländern. Ein wichtiges Ziel von COMENGA ist die Vermittlung von zeitgemäßen und differenzierten Bildern der jeweiligen Lebensrealitäten in Afrika und in Deutschland. Die Veranstaltung findet im Curio-Haus in der Rothenbaumchaussee 11, 20148 Hamburg statt. Einlass ist am 10. September ab 16:30 Uhr, die Veranstaltung beginnt um 17:00 Uhr.

Information, innovation, Revolution – Africa and Germany as reflected in the Media

on 10 September in Hamburg.

The opportunities to help shape public communication and public opinion are greater today than ever before. Thanks to blogs, Wikipedia, citizen journalism, social media and such like, the boundaries between media production, distribution and reception are blurring. We invite key players from Germany and African countries to come and discuss the potential for civic engagement and intercultural exchange in the media.
What opportunities do new and innovative media formats offer for more in-depth exchange with the countries of Africa and better informed public opinion?

Successful bloggers and citizen journalists in Germany, Nigeria, Ghana and Uganda will talk about their work. We will also discuss with them suitable formats and ideas for engaging in partnership initiatives and collaborating with different media. Representatives of various initiatives will also be there to encourage participants to network with one another and provide opportunities to develop joint projects.
Music and refreshments will ensure the evening ends on a relaxing note.

This event forms part of the COMENGA programme of the Partnership with Africa Foundation e.V. and is being held as part of the Africa Initiative of the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). COMENGA promotes and coordinates civic engagement in Germany and African countries. One of the key objectives of COMENGA is to convey contemporary, differentiated images of the respective realities of life in Africa and Germany.
