Mobilizing communication globally: for what and for whom? This question
motivated this special issue of Nordicom Review, grounded in a concern
over the future of communication for development as a field of

human rights and social justice. This special issue, a cooperation
between Nordicom Review and Glocal Times, contains critical
contributions that address the relationship between communication,
