For students who want to conduct research in South Africa, 

related to media and/or communication studies, especially within the
independent small media sector.

 

This opportunity offers office space to conduct research, a resource centre
with relevant media related material and a library of small local
independent publications of the Eastern Cape province in South Africa. It
also offers links to local media organisations - community radio stations
and small newspapers located in towns, townships and rural areas as well as
students and lecturers at the Department of Media Studies at Walter Sisulu
University (WSU) in East London.
