Media Director

National Office - Johannesburg

loveLife is looking to recruit a suitable candidate to create and develop a multi- media behaviour change communications campaign

with country- wide outreach and support services for young people. The successful applicant would be required to fulfil the following

primary functions in a professional manner and with technical excellence:

. Leading the continuing review , design and development of loveLife's communication campaign and overall media strategy

. Develop loveLife's core media strategy based on in-depth research on HIV/Aids studies, issues affecting youth, and latest media &

marketing trends

. Ensuring synergy in content and design across television, radio, print, outdoor, mobile and web platforms

. Representing loveLife in mainstream media

. Develop partnerships within civil society and media sectors as relates to loveLife Media

. Management of loveLife partner agencies, including television, design and outdoor companies

. Management of ongoing monitoring and evaluation of loveLife's media campaign

. Management of overall operations of media team, including staff complement of 17

. Manage all loveLife Media projects and budgets

. Serve as a strong contributor to loveLife's senior management team

Suitable candidates will need to satisfy the following requirements:

. A post graduate degree in Media or communications and at least 5 to 8 years media-related experience

. Keen insight into youth and media trends in South Africa

. Experience managing large scale multi-plaftorm media campaigns

. In depth insight into HIV and issues affecting the youth in South Africa would be an advantage

. Programme management and marketing experience

. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

. Financial management skills

. Leadership and Problem solving skills

. Ability to interact with people at all levels

. A valid driver's license

Total remuneration package: Commensurate with experience
