Emmanuel Cocq: Production Costs of Audiovisual Works in Developing
Countries. - Paris: UNESCO, 2007, 109 p.
A Study on Production Costs of Audiovisual Works in Developing
Countries, conducted for UNESCO by Emmanuel Cocq (Groupe d'Economie
Mondiale, SCPO, Paris), is now available on-line in English and French.
The study aims at facilitating cost determination and levels of support
for local content production in developing countries, while contributing
to stimulating national and foreign investments in local creative
audiovisual industries. It provides a useful tool to independent
filmmakers, producers, commissioners, broadcasters, funding bodies and
development institutions involved in audiovisual work.... The work is
based on the collection of detailed production costs for works coming
under five genres: feature films for theatrical release, television
fictions, works of animation, documentaries, television magazine
programmes and television entertainment shows.
