Expert Seminar on Indigenous Peoples and Education, Paris, October
18-20,
2004

The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights has the honour to
inform you that an Expert seminar on Indigenous Peoples and Education
will
take place at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, from 18th  to 20th of
October
2004.

The Seminar is co-organized with the United Nations Educational
Scientific
and Cultural Organization to support the work of the Special Rapporteur
on
the situation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of indigenous
peoples, Mr. Rodolfo Stavenhagen, whose report to the 2005 session of
the
Commission on Human Rights will be focused on this theme
