It's not clear to me what you want to do. In
http://www.sile-typesetter.org/what-is/index.html he writes
SILE follows TeX in each of these three areas [box model,
hyphenation, line-breaking]; it contains a slavish port of the TeX
line-breaking algorithm which has been tested to produce exactly the
same output as TeX given equivalent input.
which means that there is no new development, and SILE can directly
use TeX hyphenation patterns.
