  radical analysis, liberating practices and encouraging atmospheres in
the context of education and autonomy

  The "Island for autonomous learning" (Insel für selbstbestimmtes
Lernen) invites you to a summer forum at July 20th - 29th 2012. With
cooperative methods like workshops, world cafés, lectures and others we
  want to discuss issues and experience practises and atmospheres that
involve autonomous learning.

  For a broad variety of content we have invite external speakers. But
the basic principle of the summer forum will be the  interests and needs
of the participants. To make the planning easier if  you only come for a

\\\ money and resources: The forum is non-commercial. This means
everyone  accepts, that participants give what they can, according to
their means.  But at the end the forum has to finance itself. The costs
of travelling  to the forum will be redistributed. Food, accommodation
and travelling  costs of referents have to be payed for by the
community. We have raised  enough funds to ask for an average
contribution of 7-20 € per  person/day. If you want to help to lower
costs, you can help us dunpster  dive. We provide a purpose-built bike.

  What is InSeL?
  InSeL stands for "Insel für selbstbestimmtes Lernen" (Island for
autonomous learning). InSeL is a learning and research collective, that
  tries to create an experimental open space through practices of
empowerment. At the moment InSeL deals with learning – education –
subjectifying – childhood; state school – institutional discrimination –
  institutions and ideology – supportive practices; pressure to perform –
  capitalist exploitation logic – timeout – nomadism. This list is open
to  more topics. What InSeL deals with depends on the people involved.
Depending on our own interests and needs we organize in learning circles
  and set up long-term cooperation with each other. Unlike conventional
universities, at InSeL everyone is in charge of his or her own learning
  and the group decide on its projects or plans collectively.

  » Her mit dem schönen Lernen!

  Radikale Analysen, befreiende Praxen und ermunternde Athmosphären im
Kontext von Bildung und Selbstbestimmung.

  Die Insel für selbstbestimmtes Lernen (InSeL) lädt vom 20.-29.7.2012
zum SommerForum. Verschiedene Kooperationsformen (Workshops, World
Cafes, Vorträge usw.) bieten sich an, um dort Themen, Praxen und
Athmosphären rund um das selbstbestimmte Lernen zu gestalten.

  Zur Gestaltung von Angeboten haben wir auch „InSeL-Externe“ eingeladen.
Grundlage des Sommerformus ist aber die von den Interessen und
Bedürfnissen der Teilnehmer_Innen ausgehende Auseinandersetzung und
Gestaltung des eröffneten Raumes. Einen Überblick über die bisherigen

  * Mi und Do, 25./26. Juli: Kernzeit 2: Reflexionen zur bisherigen
InSeL-Praxis (InSeL-intern und für alle, die sich bis dahin so fühlen).

  Organisatorisches

  » Geld und Ressourcen: Das Forum ist eine nicht-kommerzielle
Veranstaltung. Das heißt, dass alle akzeptieren, dass jede_r Beteiligte
  verschieden viel dazu beiträgt und davon mitnimmt. Am Ende muss sich
aber das Forum finanziell selbst tragen. Das heißt, dass wir Fahrtkosten
  wie gewohnt solidarisch umlegen, gemeinsam für Essen und Tagungshaus
und  Fahrtkosten von mehreren Referent_innen aufkommen müssen. Ein paar
  Zuschüsse mildern unsere Kosten etwas ab. Am Ende dürfte es auf eine
Spanne von 7 bis 20 € pro TN und Tag hinaus laufen. Wer etwas zur
Abmilderung der Kosten beitragen möchte, kann zum Beispiel mithelfen,
Essen zu kontainern. Dafür steht ein Lastenrad zur Verfügung.

  Was ist InSeL?
  InSeL steht für Insel für Selbstbestimmtes Lernen. InSeL ist ein Lern-
  und Forschungskollektiv, das durch empowernde kommunikative Praxen
einen  experimentierfreundlichen Freiraum schafft. Zur Zeit bestehen in
InSeL  folgende Themenkreise: Lernen - Bildung - Subjektivierung -
Kindheit;  Regelschule - Bearbeitung von (institutioneller)
Diskriminierung -  Herrschaftskritik - unterstützende Praxen;
Leistungsdruck -  Verwertungslogiken - Auszeit - Nomadismus; Dies ist
allerdings keine  abschließende Aufzählung. Vielmehr verändern sich die
Themenkreise mit  den Menschen, aus denen InSeL besteht. Die Menschen,
die an der InSeL  beteiligt sind, ordnen sich entsprechend dieser
Themenkreise  verschiedenen Lernbereichen zu und gehen auf längere Zeit
angelegte  Kooperationen miteinander ein. Anders als beispielsweise an
herkömmlichen Universitäten entscheiden alle Beteiligten über ihr
individuelles Lernen selbst und über Vorhaben der Gruppe gemeinsam.
