Is this disk actually defunct? I bought it this April. It is part of an 8 disk software raid 6 (linux).

Somebody can explain in common language what is going on?

I have the array umounted.

It is inside a Yottamaster Model FS5 according to the label. But according to the manual, it is “Y-Focus Series 5-Bay” FS5U3

But it has been saying that for almost three days.

The short test doesn't actually complete.
