[smartmontools-support] NVME drive won't initiate tests

I can't smartctl to run tests on WD SN770 NVME drives (see results below).
The two tests that are complete were done through the WD Dashboard software.

When I run smartctl -t long -d nvme /dev/sdb
I get the output below, but no tests actually starts.

This doesn't happen 100% of the time.  Sometimes, tests will run, but 
I've done nothing different, and if the tests runs once, they often 
won't run a second time, even with no change in the system.

I'm testing in W10 Pro x64, usually with AMD-based motherboards.
