[smartmontools-support] DEFAULT -n standby not working for Adaptec Raid

My apologies for misunderstanding you.  I have changed etc/default/smartmontools to contain:

smartd_opts="--interval=86400"

I wrote "command line option", not "smartd.conf directive". Use "man 
smartd" instead of "man smartd.conf".
