Hi,
I noticed a discrepancy between the value of Airflow_Temperature_Cel
as reported in the logs of smartd and the value from smartctl:
Apr 06 16:41:18 storage smartd[3589676]: Device: /dev/sda [SAT], SMART
Usage Attribute: 190 Airflow_Temperature_Cel changed from 69 to 68
However, smartctl reports it "correctly" (as 100 - value reported by smartd):
$ smartctl -A /dev/sda | grep -i temper
190 Airflow_Temperature_Cel 0x0022 068 063 040 Old_age
Always - 32 (Min/Max 29/37)
194 Temperature_Celsius 0x0022 032 040 000 Old_age
Always - 32 (0 23 0 0 0)
Have I misconfigured something or is this some sort of bug? I'm using
smartmontools 7.1-1 (arch linux) and the drive is a Seagate Ironwolf
4TB.
In smartd.conf I have:
DEFAULT -a -n standby -m email at address.com -W 5,40,45 -e apm,off -e standby,off
DEVICESCAN
