[smartmontools-support] Does Sil3114 play well with smartmon-tools under Linux?

I noticed a RAID controller on ebay which I hope to use in pass-through
mode. It uses an Sil3114 controller chip and I wanted to know if it plays
well with smartmon-tools utilities.
It appears from web searches that I plays well enough with the Linux
kernel itself.
