[smartmontools-support] SMART STATUS RETURN: incomplete response, ATA output registers missing

Hello everyone,

 I would like to know what the following bold message means and how to fix
it if it is a problem:

Can't start self-test without aborting current test (90% remaining),
add '-t force' option to override, or run 'smartctl -X' to abort test.
Device Model: ST1000LM025 HN-M101ABB

Production software version:
smartctl 5.43 2012-06-30 r3573 [x86_64-linux-3.10.17] (local build)

OS: Slackware 14.1

Do I update smartctl? Is it a database issue?
