I use Micron’s “msecli.exe”

https://www.micron.com/~/media/documents/products/software/storage-executive-software/storageexecutive_linux_64bit.run

Eg:

C:\MICRON\msecli.exe -s -S

For help : msecli -h

Subject: [smartmontools-support] Lttle help needed

Hello,

I have a server Dell PowerEdge R610 with CentOS release 6.9.

I am trying to read the SMART infos 'cause I get an error E1810 – hard drive 1 fault review and clear SEL.

I've checked the HDDs:

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 66 524288 83 Linux
Partition 1 does not end on cylinder boundary.
/dev/sda2 66 588 4194304 82 Linux swap / Solaris
Partition 2 does not end on cylinder boundary.
/dev/sda3 588 60735 483130368 83 Linux

and when I want to do any command I get this:

[root]# sudo smartctl -H /dev/sda3
smartctl 5.43 2016-09-28 r4347 [x86_64-linux-2.6.32-696.13.2.el6.x86_64] (local build)
Copyright (C) 2002-12 by Bruce Allen, http://smartmontools.sourceforge.net

Smartctl open device: /dev/sda3 failed: INQUIRY failed
[root]#

May you please, help?

Thanks!
