Please send in these cases (Unknown USB bridge) also the output of
# lsusb -v -d 04e8:61f5

and please let us see the firmware version.
If you call smartctl with option "-q noserial"
you don't have to manually modify the resulting report.
That is the recommended way to contribute smartctl reports :-)
