Ziel war die Beendigung des Krieges und eine sozialistische Gesellschaft. Die Revolution erreichte die Abdankung des Kaisers, das Frauenwahlrecht, den Acht-Stunden-Tag und viele konkrete Verbesserungen - doch der Kapitalismus blieb intakt. Sie war Mitglied im Frauenbund, der sich 1968 als “Aktionsrat zur Befreiung der Frauen” in Westberlin bildete. <br style="border: 0;mso-line-height-rule: exactly;-mso-line-height-rule: exactly;line-height: 150%;margin-top: 0;margin-right: 0;margin-bottom: 0;margin-left: 0;padding-top: 0;padding-right: 0;padding-bottom: 0;padding-left: 0;">Legendär wurde der Aktionsrat zur Befreiung der Frauen durch einen Tomatenwurf auf einen führenden männlichen SDS-Theoretiker aus Protest gegen die Ignoranz der männlichen SDS-Genossen gegenüber der Rede einer Genossin des SDS und des Aktionsrats. Die wenigsten wissen heute noch, was der Aktionsrat politisch forderte, dass er als feministische Gruppe zentraler Bestandteil der Neuen Frauenbewegung und Ideengeber für die Gründung der Kinderladenbewegung war. Von damals kennen wir den Slogan “Das Private ist politisch”.
