stephen is also right with his points. We have a big problem with nationalism in
the european left memberparties - not so much inside the normal members - but of
course at the funcional level. So there is no will to step forward to an unitied
european party because that means delivery of power and more democracy. But its
no new discussion... its at least 100 years old. Anyway to change something we
have to focus not only at the board or the boards of the national parties. The
national parties focus each mainly on their national level and revolve around
themselves. The way to starting up a network of european members from the
bottom is still the right one, but we are not so much inside the
national parties with our proposals. The actual "real democracy
now" protests in the different countries all over europe could be
a connection for an active european left that is not only existing on
a bureaucratic level. </FONT><FONT size=2>If you write such a letter please sent

since 2004, attending the founding Conference in <st1:City

Executive Board are not in the slightest bit interested in developing
individual membership. The Left in <st1:country-region
w:st="on">Germany</st1:country-region> were supportive but have given up, the
French Communists and Synpaspismos in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place
w:st="on">Greece</st1:place></st1:country-region> have been particularly
against in the past any form of rights for individual
members.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>

to go in contact with you. Hopefully this will work.<BR>I would like to ask
you all to give me a feedback on the following idea.<BR> <BR>Next days
there will be a meeting of the Ex-Board (?) in <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place
w:st="on">Paris</st1:place></st1:City>. This meeting will take place roughly 9
months after the Paris Party Congress. Since this congress the board had a lot
of meetings around the globe during which never ever was the discussed the
issue of our rights, the rights as Individual members in the Party. So finally
(after being for years – since Athens - a member without any rights) I would
ask you to send a letter from our side to the Board meeting asking to find
urgently a solution and to involve us in this process / decision how the
solutions should looks like. I personally stopped 9 months ago to pay my Party
contribution (no rights - no obligations) but nobody is caring about that.
<BR>Would someone be interested to write together with me this letter
