I'm afraid I have been advised differently and that Synpaspismos representatives on the Executive Board were not supportive on previous discussions on individual members when they arose.  That may be different from the Party position but I am interested in what people do more than what they say.
 
I have no doubt that your job and your personal view can be seperate.  
 
Can you please provide me with a list of the contact details of all individual members resident in the UK.

Dear Stephen, dear all

After entering in this email (After a very long time, as i am not using this email anymore) i realised that i have access to the list. 


I would like to ask the administrator of the list, to send me an email please to giorgos.karatsioubanis at european-left.org as i would like to check with him/her several issues.

On the other point Stephen,and as you mentioned that, i have to reply to your sentence : Synaspismos has nothing against individual members.
on my personal opinion : one thing is my personal opinion, and another thing my tasks as member of the EL Office. In this direction, there is no distinction of people supporting, and others that are against individual members the EL Office.


In any case, the purpose of this email is not to open a new round of exchanges (i think you know where to find me, and i am ready to help in forwarding the different requests). 

From email exchanges with Maite Mola and Waltraud i think you are aware that there will be a meeting where your point will be raised.

I return to my initial reason of sending this email : i would like to ask the administrator to get in touch with me.

So no reply from Pierre Laurant.  So far, so predictable.  The French Communist Party does not support individual membership developing. I had a number of conversations with them.
 
I’m afraid neither does Giorgios nor his party Synpaspismos.  I spoke to him at the 3rd Congress in Paris and confirmed his opposition, which before I had simply suspected.
 
Martin Heberg supported us amongst the staff, as did his party Die Linke.  Helmut Schulz just never achieved a result although he spoke up for us.
 
Let us see what happens, but I suspect nothing.  I have not paid my subscription since 30th June 2011 and I was not able to get to either of the trade union network meetings this year.  The European Left Party I’m afraid to say is irrelevant to events in Britain .  When there was a hope it might develop there was a point being engaged, but if this latest attempt fails, I don’t see much point in continuing as they say here to ‘flog a dead horse’.

DearGiorgios Karatsioubanis,
enclosed I send you a letter which was signed by eight individual EL members from different countries. The letter deals with the problem of the rights of individual members apart and was sent by us to Pierre Laurant before the last EL EX-Board meeting in early October. To date, neither a reply nor a confirmation of receipt is received.

Since you as "employee" of EL are also responsible for us, the individual members, we want to ask you officially to give this letter to all member and observer parties of the EL at the latest till the next Board meeting in January in Berlin . We hope that this letter will be formaly put on the agenda and discussed during this meeting. 

At the same time we want to ask you, to communicate to all parties our request, that in the upcoming budget of the EL for the year 2012 we would like to have introduced a reasonable amount of money for an European meeting of individual members to be organized next year with the aim to discuss and organize our work within the EL. The existing working structures for cooperation of the trade unionists or the EL-FEM-structures are well established examples how we would like to go ahead in the future.
