dear all,

perhaps we should go a more confrontational way? why not continue the plan 
that we had at the congress in prague? doing an election and go with a 
candidate for the board. we should have done it already in prague i think. 
or also we could start an website where we explain in short sentences our 
idea of the EL and start collecting signatures from national partymembers 
for it. understandably until now we also never used the media for our 
problems - after the experience of last years i think we have to scandalize 
the situation, otherwise i think nothing will happen.

by the way another thing: we started yesterday a campaign supported by 
activists from social movements, parties and trade unions for the right on 
political strike in germany and we collect signatures of supporters. its of 
course a german campaign - so its also in german language - but i think it 
would be good too, if some signatures from outside germany on it. so feel 
free to sign - perhaps as "network of individual members of the party of the 
european left" on the "organization-field" or something similar.

If it is the SED I do not want to be in it despite good, decent people like 
you and others I have met.

After telling me she doesn't want to deal with it any more, Maite Mola tells 
me 'I am free and can elect', in other words telling me to leave if I want. 
That does not strike me as someone who wants to keep individual members.

However I am happy to see what Waltraud can do but without Executive Board 
agreement I am not sure she can do much.  We'll see.

I agree with you but for me it is not anymore a question, if ...

There is a decision out of the Paris congress.

Please don't give them the chance to continue in this way. This kind of 
reaction we already know. My best friend in the GDR times was excluded from 
the party as the party bosses of the SED had the same perception that they 
have so hard to work, solving all this so complicated problems and they 
became at the end nervous ... and took the decision.

At the end, let's make it clear. I will not be interested within a left 
party which is working for me, I would be interested within a party which 
would like to rely and count on me. If not, it's their problem and the 
history will judge it. For the moment I will remain on board ... We know 
Waltraud, let's go in contact with her.

Dear All,

If you have been following recent correspondence you will see that Nobert's 
letter to Pierre Laurant, was passed to Maite Mola, who has now passed it to 
Waltraud Fritz-Klackl.  Also a decision was to be made in January, then 
February and now April.

This follows a pattern I have seen many times in eight years.  Everything 
goes round in circles and finally disappears.  This happens whether you 
write politely, or a little more sharply as I do these days because I am fed 
up with it.

I will wait until April and if nothing changes I will accept defeat and that 
EL is a party of parties and I will do something else.
