Dear Martin

This proposal seems sensible and interesting to develop.

All the best

Subject: [Individual-members-EL] proposal individual membership inside the Eruopean Left

Dear friends, Dear comrades,

The friendshipcircle here in Brussels discussed the individual membership inside the European Left.

Enclosed you find a proposal which we would like to discuss with all of you.

Hopefully some of you also come to the summer university!? Where we could discuss the issue together?!

Greetings

Martin

Proposal:

In view of the fact that the EL is missing a clear integration, with a definition of rights, duties and tasks of the individual members on how

to integrate them as member inside the European Party, at a meeting of individual member in Brussels the following proposal was made:

All individual members in Europe together get one delegate to the EL executive board.

And all individual members in Europe get 12 delegates to the EL congress.

This delegate for the Executive board should be on rotating bases. Meaning that each existing friendship circle, has the opportunity

to take part in executive board meetings. In this way the friendship circles would need to communicate between each other,

In order to report about the meetings and also in order to find a common approach or agenda how they themselves think to integrate in the European Left.

The proposal is not a solution to all aspects of individual membership inside the EL but it should be seen

as a first approach in order to guarantee a clear presentation for individual members inside the EL.

This should lead to a dialogue between the individual members, the EL member and EL observer parties.
